Living the Dream was created by Karen Nyhlen, a seasoned writer, director, and executive producer with a long track record of shaping compelling television across networks, formats, and genres.

Her work spans iconic studios and distributors including Warner Bros., CBS/FOX, Spelling Entertainment, and Hallmark Home Entertainment — and she’s a proud member of the Directors Guild of America.

Now, with Living the Dream, she’s crafting a narrative built for modern formats — short-form, story-driven, culturally fluent. Karen partnered with Boundless and Blue Ribbon to launch this project not just as a series, but as a scalable content system.
